Our lovely hostel was created in the late 1990's from a renovated 1918 residence in the heart of downtown Madison, one of the Midwest's most friendly, exciting, beautiful, and inexpensive cities. Conveniently located within easy walking distance of UW-Madison and many fun cultural and music venues, HI-Madison is in the center of it all. We provide both private and shared accommodations, with no lockout during the day. The Hostel is a safe and welcoming environment offering a well-equipped kitchen for guests to use, free wi-fi, a free guest computer as well as a free local phone.
